Dr Nicolas Maurice
(GCC01107)
I was born in Mauritius and, at the age of 13, migrated to Sydney, Australia. I studied and graduated from the University of New South Wales and Macquarie University in 1996. In 2000, my curiosity and love for travel led me to move to the UK, where I settled in Belfast. My initial plan was to work for no more than two years before returning to Australia, but life had other plans, and I found myself captivated by Belfast’s charm. In 2004, I took over Lisburn Chiropractic and soon after met my wife, Lyndsay.
Lyndsay and I have three children and two adorable dogs. My appreciation for chiropractic began when I was 11, after seeing my mum, who had suffered from severe neck pain, finally find relief through Chiropractic care when we moved to Australia in 1986. I was fascinated by how such a simple yet powerful approach and how caring for the spine could improve health without drugs or surgery.
Outside of chiropractic, I’m a passionate cook and an enthusiastic baker. I absolutely love vintage Volkswagens and am a dedicated enthusiast. I’m also a keen runner, even if not the fastest, and I enjoy yoga whenever my parental duties allow, though finding time can sometimes be a challenge.
